Halloween Lives

IRVington is where

Celebrating its 80th year, the festival thrives because neighbors, businesses, and community partners invest in something that belongs to us all.

We're deeply grateful for the sponsors who make it possible for Irvington to carry this tradition forward with excellence. If you’re interested in supporting the 2026 festival, we would love to connect.

For one week each October, Irvington, on the Eastside of Indianapolis, becomes fully and unmistakably itself. Storefront windows transform with hand-painted Halloween scenes created by neighborhood kids and local artists.

Porches glow. Sidewalks bustle. Volunteers line the streets to welcome visitors to this incredible neighborhood. Irvington is home to roughly 11,000 residents, but festival week brings more than 40,000 visitors to the same streets we call home.

Keeps the magic brewing

Your annual
Sponsorship

For 80 years, volunteers and local business owners — a wonderfully eccentric and deeply committed group — have taken responsibility for their piece of the experience. Its authenticity and individuality are part of what make it so special.

Traditions like this endure because people care enough to show up and contribute. Sponsorship helps ensure we can continue stewarding this legacy for the next generation.

The festival has grown. The charm remains.

Neighbors still lead the work, tending to the details that make the week distinctly Irvington.. Welcoming more people to the festival also brings more responsibility — safety, accessibility, street coordination, and making sure families feel cared for from the moment they arrive.

For one week each year, Irvington opens its front door to the region. Sponsorship allows us to be gracious hosts while keeping the festival rooted in the neighborhood.

The goal isn’t to make the festival bigger — it’s to preserve what makes it unmistakably Irvington.

What’s built during festival week carries forward in meaningful ways — supporting public art, strengthening neighborhood schools, sustaining community gatherings and seasonal traditions like the Irvington Winter Luminaria, uplifting small businesses, caring for shared spaces, and contributing to the ongoing vitality of the neighborhood in many other ways throughout the year.

There are ways to participate at every level — from visible partnerships to approachable options for small businesses, families, and individuals. Recognition appears before, during, and after the festival through on-site presence, digital storytelling, and select printed materials.

For many organizations, festival week is when people truly encounter Irvington — its walkability, its creativity, and the distinct character that defines the neighborhood.

Sponsors don’t simply show up for the moment; they become part of the experience itself. That connection is why so many return year after year.

We welcome custom sponsorships, in-kind support, and creative collaborations connected to specific events, spaces, or traditions. Some of the festival’s best moments began with a partner bringing an idea forward.
