The Irvington Halloween Festival Window Decorating Contest is an annual contest to be held during the Festival. If you grew up as a kid in Irvington, then chances are you at some point painted windows for the Halloween Festival. Now that some of us are older, we have the same opportunity to pass along this tradition to our children. And for those adults who still enjoy painting the windows, don’t worry, we’ve got an adult category too.

Registration will be at the library from:

4-6pm Wednesday 19th
4-6pm Thursday 20th
10-2pm Saturday 22nd
4-6pm Monday 24th

You can download a list of rules here.

Window choices (which merchant location to paint at) are on a first come – first choice basis. Window registration can only be done in person (not by phone, e-mail or messenger). Final decisions on location of window will be at the discretion of the Event chairperson. The window location will be given to entrant at time of registration. Entrants are responsible for remembering where their windows are located. This information will not be stored in the event it is misplaced. Windows will be marked by age of the entrant by a color coded card. This will distinguish the age groups for judging.

Entries will be evaluated by a panel of judges. Judging will take place the morning of Irvington Halloween Festival. There will be 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place awards for each age category. The winners will be announced at the Irvington Halloween Festival after the parade!
