Irvington Halloween Festival Schedule of Events
The Historic Irvington Halloween Festival is a week of events including a 5 mile run, a scholarship pageant, masquerade ball, musicians, contests, Halloween-themed movies, storytelling, ghost tours, live theater, bike rides, roller derby, a haunted puppet show and dozens of other events. The Festival culminates on Saturday with a street fair which includes over 170 vendors, live-music and a costume parade.

The Irvington Historical Society will offer a small display of Halloween items spanning five decades of collecting by Kent Hankin’s family. Noisemakers, witches on rockets, Burger Chef and Jeff, vintage festival posters and pictures from the 1997 festival will be on display.
Exhibits are free and open to all. Stop by any Wednesday (1 -3) or Saturday and Sunday (1-4). Help us put names to the festival pictures; so, they don’t end up as Mystery Monday posts.
Saturday, Oct 24th
Carving artists of all ages gather in Ellenberger Park Skating Rink and create their best jack-o’- lanterns. All one-hundred participants receive free pumpkins ready for carving. Winning contestants in adult and K-12 categories receive prizes.
Contestants compete for scholarship money and cash prizes while presenting an evening of singing, dancing, and fashion. The program includes costume, business attire, and evening gown competitions, and contestants are quizzed in both onstage and offstage interviews. Miss Irvington is invited to compete in the following year’s Indiana State Festivals Association (ISFA) Scholarship Pageant.
Celebrate the beginning of the week-long festival at a masquerade ball. Costumed attendees (21 and over) enjoy a live band and beer, wine, and appetizers

Our Lady of Lourdes Spooky Organ Concert and Food Drive with Indianapolis Children’s Choir | 6pm | Our Lady of Lourdes | FREE | Bring non-perishable food items to donate to the OLL Food Pantry.
This is an annual event featuring an organ performance by Our Lady of Lourdes organist Angel Robertsson-Soper and a special performance by the Indianapolis Children’s Choir!
Monday, Oct 26th
Come see this (slightly) haunted children’s puppet show by Melchior Marionettes and Peewinkle’s Puppet Studio. The Show features beautiful hand-crafted and costumed marionettes performing in full view of the audience. The cast includes dancing ghosts and skeletons, a juggling scarecrow, and Esmerelda the witch, while Dracula welcomes visitors from a second story ghost house.

The event will include the sale of the top three poster contest winners and fabulous donated items from businesses in and around Irvington, as well as appetizers, live music and a cash bar. Join us at Black Acre Brewing for a costume party with prizes furnished by local Irvington businesses. 21+ only.
Coraline (PG). Coraline discovers a secret door in her new house. Walking through, she finds an alternate version of her life.
For children age 7 and up.
FREE – seating is limited to the first 50 people
Children who come at 6:30 p.m. will receive a snack and drink.

There will be a bloodmobile parked in the lot. Let vampires suck your blood for a good cause.

Featuring Nick Tucker & Friends in a ghoulish evening of soul-stealing live music designed to raise the dead and attract all the monsters in the area. This is an annual costumed bicycle ride through Irvington. The ride will begin at the Irvington Branch Library and end at DuFours for food fit for a zombie.
