Street Fair

The Historic Irvington Halloween Festival culminates on the final day of the festival with a street fair that includes over 120 vendors, live-music, children’s events and a costume parade.

October 2012 Events at Bookmamas

Oct. 3 – Altars can be decorated (Day of the Dead theme)

Oct. 5 – First Friday – (in the Underground 9 Studio) Delta Duo (Jeffrey John & Irina) performing Delta Blues @ 8:00 pm, Inkslingers’ Theatre presents Dia de Los Muertos @ 10:00 pm.

Oct. 6 – Banned Books reading Noon-3:00 pm, readings from your favorite banned books. Books will be made available or you may bring your own.

Oct. 10 – Day of the Dead Skull Mask & Luminaria decorating – $2.00.

Oct. 13 – Bookmamas 5th Birthday Bash – Children’s crafts – 10 am-1:00 pm, Al Hunter & the reprise of the Ichabod Crane Society, Al will be signing his new book, Haunted Indianapolis @ 1:00 pm. Random Acts of Sketching 3:00-5:00 pm, Feedbag Material with CK Meyers in the Underground @ 9:00 pm (Adult comedy – $5.00).

Oct. 25 – Last day for Altar decorating.

Oct. 27 – Stephen Vincent Giles performing The Raven, etc. in the Underground 9 Studio. Performance times 11:00 pm, 1:00 pm, 3:00 pm. $5 for adults, $1 for 12 and under

George McDermott will be signing his new book, “Paramilitary Zombie Survival Field Manual” AND Garry D. Ledbetter will be signing his new book, “Urban Legend: Murder at the House of Blue Lights”.

Both signings are at 2:00 pm.

Oct. 28 – Day of the Dead event 2:00-5:00 pm, Altar visitations, journal readings, pan de muertos & light refreshments.
