Do you know any young writers? If so, encourage them to enter the 2011 Irvington Halloween Festival Writing Contest and they could have their entry published in the festival program and on this website.
This contest is open to students in Kindergarten through 12th grade students.
Are you a teacher? If so, incorporate this assignment into your curriculum.

I was fortunate to attend the elementary school, that was named after Washington Irving. Does anyone knows the what school it was? If not I will share it with you. It was Washington Irving Elementary School #14. Would like to see who remembers the school and attended it in the 1960′. Thanks!!
